Andrea Becker-Weimann lives and works in Hamburg. In 2003 she completed her training as a graphic designer and subsequently won several design awards. While studying visual communication at the HfbK Hamburg, which she completed with distinction in 2014, she received a scholarship from the Hfbk's own collective foundation in 2009 and a scholarship with an exhibition at Goldsmiths College at the University of London in 2012. In 2017, she was nominated for the Northwest Art Prize of Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven and received a travel grant to UC Berkeley from the Hypercultural Passengers association. In 2018, she was an annual fellow of the Behörde für Kultur und Medien Hamburg and received project funding for the artist's book 'A Lab', which was published in 2022.
